ACREU has a multi-disciplinary core team of ten research investigators. Five of ACREU’s current key investigators, including Director Elizabeth M. Badley, have been part of the ACREU team since it was formed in 1991. The investigator team includes an epidemiologist (Badley), three rheumatologists with clinical epidemiology training (Bell, Hawker, Fortin), a family physician with public health training (Glazier), two social scientists (Gignac, Cott [who is also a physiotherapist]), an orthopaedic surgeon (Mahomed), and two physiotherapists with clinical epidemiology training (Lineker, Davis).
Along with ACREU’s core team we also have a multi-disciplinary group of affiliate research investigators. This team includes an epidemiologist (Li [who is also a physiotherapist]) and two biomechanists (Gage, Maly [who is also a physiotherapist]).
ACREU consists of a variety of staff – administrative staff research, support staff, and students. Staff members have a range of backgrounds, including epidemiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, sociology and health promotion.
